Relief: Hydrography and Climate
Egypt has a hot desert climate, which means that there are 2 seasons: warm winters and hot summers. Rain is rarely seen, except for the northern coast, where it often rains in winter.
The Nile, known as the father of African rivers, is not only the longest river in Africa, but also the place of birth of Egyptian civilization. We can distinguish two major tributaries: the White Nile and the Blue Nile. Its mouth is in the Mediterranean Sea, to the North of the country, where we can find the Nile Delta (one of the largest in the world) and important cities like Cairo and Alexandria.
The best time to visit Egypt is between October and April, when temperatures are cooler, but still pleasantly warm across the country.
